Diamond Physical Therapy @ Cressey Sports Performance - Florida

Providing PT Services in a team-based sports medicine model.

Tyler Beede

PITCHER - SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

He’s the only guy that would pop in my head to do rehab with for any injury out of all the PTs I’ve had in pro ball and outside of it. He’s just simply one of the best at what he does and doesn’t have an ego, or an agenda to use you for anything, but just wants to get you 110% healthy and does it the right way. He works really well with EC and there’s a lot of similar vocabulary in how he rehabs to how Eric programs, so that helps in understanding him and keeping things fluid in using both guys hand in hand.

Aaron Civale
PITCHER - CLEVELAND INDIANS

Heading into the 2018 offseason, I was fresh off of an injury that would require rehab. I was able to get my training in at CSP-MA while having the opportunity to complete my rehab with Eric Schoenberg. Together we were able to rework my whole prep routine and pinpoint deficits in my body which lead to the set back and turn those weaknesses into strengths. I was also able to transfer all of the information and emphasis from rehabbing into training and throwing routines. A customized rehab program along with one on one treatment, to go with the great environment to train in allowed for an extremely successful off season. Much of what was learned is still incorporated into my daily routines. If you are looking to get the most out of yourself, this a great place to start. Attention to detail is key, and Schoenberg definitely covers all the bases.

About Eric Schoenberg

Eric Schoenberg is the owner of Diamond Physical Therapy. He is a board-certified Physical Therapist (PT) and Strength Coach (CSCS). Eric specializes in the management and rehabilitation of baseball players. His treatment approach is to evaluate an individual’s movement, posture, and body type to determine WHY an individual is experiencing pain or limitation in their sport and life. With this information, Eric is able to develop an individualized treatment program to help resolve your symptoms and teach you how you can manage your body independently. He is also certified in the Graston Technique and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training.

Eric has developed a niche in the baseball world through his close collaboration and study with industry leaders in Physical Therapy, Orthopedic Surgery, Strength and Conditioning, Pitching, and Hitting. He has had the privilege of working alongside hundreds of professional, collegiate, and high school athletes to help them to manage their injuries, rehabilitate following surgery, and reduce risk of re-injury.

Eric is passionate about educating athletes and coaches. His mission is to help grow the knowledge in the game of baseball as it relates to player health and injury management. The ultimate goal is to support each baseball player’s journey to reach their full potential in the game and not be limited by injury. Having the opportunity to work under the Cressey Sports Performance umbrella in a collaborative manner is a privilege and a great opportunity to impact the baseball community.

About Tanner Allen

Tanner Allen serves as a Physical Therapist (DPT) and Strength Coach (CSCS) alongside Eric Schoenberg at Diamond Physical Therapy. Tanner brings an innovative vision for the future of rehabilitation through sports performance training. This is highlighted by injury prevention strategies and guidance following injury or surgery for highly motivated individuals both in the general setting and elite sports. His diverse background allows for individualized treatments along a continuum of care designed to decrease symptoms, improve function, and performance.

Tanner‘s interest includes understanding his patient’s unique circumstances, journey, and future goals. He uses multiple lenses to assess patients in combination with manual therapy both soft tissue and joint-specific in regards to limitations. Tanner utilizes optimal loading and synergy with high-performance training through regressions and progressions based on the individual's needs.

He is also certified in Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR).

Tanner has spent most of his early life devoted to this field of study and surrounding himself with like-minded colleagues. Like many former athletes, he was constantly in the training room which forced him to learn about the human body and he found his lifelong passion. His love for sports in particular baseball brought him to CSP Florida where he most recently completed a strength & conditioning internship following grad school. Tanner received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine, and Bachelors in Exercise Physiology from Valdosta State University.

About Tyler Brady

Tyler Brady serves alongside Eric Schoenberg and Tanner Allen as an integral part of the Physical Therapy team at Diamond PT.  Originally from Louisiana. Tyler graduated with a BS in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2010.  This was immediately followed by obtaining his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from LSU Health - New Orleans in 2013.

After schooling, he completed an Orthopedic residency through the University of St. Augustine allowing him to ultimately become a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).

Tyler has extensive experience working in general orthopedics, sports medicine, injury prevention, performance enhancement, and pre and post-surgical treatment. He is certified in Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction (BFT) training which are used daily for treatment and recovery at Diamond PT.

Prior to moving to Florida, Tyler worked in Charlotte, NC where his focus was in Orthopedics.  He also served as a Sports Performance Therapist working with UNC-Charlotte Athletics, including the baseball team, for the last 4 years. This experience working with athletes across multiple sports along with collaborating closely with strength coaches, athletic trainers, and team doctors has helped with providing the best care possible in treating a variety of injuries.
